The calendar assists everyone in structuring their playing year and gives certainty as to dates for both the fixture seasons and tournaments.
This is our Association’s tournament and event calendar and lists all major tournaments and events for 2025.

2025 Townsville Major Events
Come N Try Days: Townsville Table Tennis (60 Charters Towers Road): Saturday, 25 January 2025 and Saturday, 15 February 2025
Come N Try table tennis and have a sausage sizzle for free!
People of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. This will operate from 10 am until 3 pm and will not effect usual Club operations.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring your children, grandchildren, friends, family or anyone else down to our hall for some free, friendly table tennis!
Chinese New Year Tournament: Townsville Table Tennis (60 Charters Towers Road): Saturday, 1 February 2025
The 2025 Chinese New Year Tournament will be held on Saturday, 1 February 2025 commencing at 10am.
This tournament celebrates the Chinese New Year and is open for all players to participate.

Sports Expo: Fairfield Central Shopping Centre: Saturday, 8 February 2025
We will have a sign-on desk with various information at the Sports Expo at Fairfield Shopping Centre on Saturday, 8 February 2025 from 10am to 2pm.
Get Active Expo: Townsville Stadium, Annandale: Sunday, 15 February 2025
The Get Active Expo will be held at the Townsville Stadium in Annandale on Saturday, 15 February 2025 from 10am to 1pm
Our Club will have a table set up during the Get Active Expo.
Northern Challenge: Mackay Table Tennis (Bridge Road, South Mackay): Saturday, 22 February and Sunday, 23 February 2025
All members from the table tennis associations in North Queensland can participate in the Northern Challenge (Rockhampton north). Members of any level may participate, including social members.
This is not a rating central event, as the concept of this challenge is to enable players to compete in a fun and friendly environment, practicing their skills in readiness for the 2025 table tennis year. There will be points allocated for winners and one of the North Queensland associations will be crowned the overall weekend winner! There will also be trophies for event winners.

Townsville International Women’s Day Tournament : Townsville Table Tennis (60 Charters Towers Road): Saturday, 8 March and Sunday, 9 March 2025
This year’s International Women’s Day Tournament and Training Camp will be held on Saturday, 8 March and Sunday, 9 March 2025.
International Women’s Day is a global day to celebrate the achievements of women and to raise awareness about women’s equality. It is also a day to promote the growth and development of women in sport. What better way to do that than with a table tennis tournament!
The format will be similar to previous years. There will be a training session, junior event, social event, and main event on the Saturday. On Sunday there will be a tournament open for everyone.
Catering packages for the Saturday are available. Those who have attended before know that the quality and quantity of food at this event is not to be missed! Our members can also provide free accommodation and travel to the hall for anyone travelling to Townsville.
