At age 12, Sean began playing table tennis after attending TTTA coaching sessions at Belgian Gardens Primary School for students. He has great enthusiasm for the game and practiced 5 – 7 days in 1.5 hr sessions for 12 months initially in 2006. After just 6 months training, he attended the Qld Junior Championships at Mackay. The Townsville U12 boys team was David Fielding, Luke Blucher and Sean Chun Tie. All three boys started playing at the similar time and were training together regularly. The boys made their debut mark on the Junior Table Tennis scene. They won the Qld U12 boys Title with great success! They were ranked in the top 10 juniors in their age group. At present, they still hold Qld Rankings in their age group. Sean has gained Association Umpire status. Sean partnered with Luke Blucher to win several Qld Doubles and Schools titles. Sean was awarded the Junior Patron of the year in 2008. He assists other players to improve their game. ..more to come
