Cyclone Marcia Postpones Qld Country Teams – Cairns & Mackay Come to Townsville

Cyclone Marcia is forecast to make land fall north of Yeppoon early Friday morning and track south overland to Rockhampton. See the cyclone tracking map here

This Morning Rockhampton and Bundaberg reported, due cyclone Marcia, they could not safely attend the championships in Mackay.

Organisers elected to postpone the championship to the 18th and 19th of April.

That was the bad news, now for some good news.

Cairns and Mackay are coming to Townsville for the weekend. Oooosssaa!
A format is being formulated for competition starting 8:15am Saturday and Sunday in Townsville. The idea at the moment is an extended club tournament on both days to give players a maximum number of games.

Canteen will be open ready for business on both days. Raffles will be on offer.

Training Friday night from 5-7pm, Cairns expected to attend.

Stay safe Rockhampton and Bundaberg; travel safe Cairns and Mackay.
